Haibike was first launched in 2010 and they have been difficult to purchase ever since because they have consistently out sold their budgeted manufacturing quantity. Haibikes were the first to combine the physical sport of mountain biking with the powerful dynamic of a motorcross machine. Since then they have won numerous awards for design and innovation as well as many Eurobike awards.
Now they are ready to perform.
With a wide range of styles and prices from £13,000 (Yes – £13) for the XDURO FullSeven Carbon Ult 500Wh 11G XTR to £1895 for the SDURO Hardtail SL range, there is something for everybody who wants a serious off road electric mountain bike. There are Cross and Trekking versions and 3 Fat Bikes as well and versions for ladies and men.
Due to the complexity of the range, not all versions and colours detailed in www.haibike.de (English Version) are available in the UK. In all there are 36 bikes to choose.
The range is split into two genres. 19 XDURO models are powered by Bosch performance CX motor which has been newly developed for the 2016 season. The SDURO Yamaha range was later introduced and now comprises 17 bikes in the UK. Yamaha have been making electric bike motors since 1996 and their motor is compact, lightweight, silent and powerful. It also delivers an impressive torque of 80Nm.
Generally, the XDURO range is about £400 more expensive that the equivalent SDURO bike.
Raleigh, the UK distributors have ordered 10 times as many bikes as in 2015 in a real effort to give really good service to everyone who wants to own one of these amazing machines.
