The Raleigh Captus brings all the advantages of the Bosch motor system to the e-cyclist at one of the lowest prices for this type of motor. This has been achieved by fitting a more standard level of bicycle equipment.
Captus shares a frame, Bosch motor and controls, front suspension forks and tyres with the Motus but is specified more as a standard bike with Vee brakes, Shimano Altus 9 speed derailleur and shifter and no lights.
The battery is Bosch 300wh (36 V X 8.2 Ah) On the crossbar version the battery is mounted on the down tube and on the rear rack for the step-through as per the photographs.

The rider has a wide range of information available as can bee seen from the photo of the Intuvia display. The controls are operated from the left hand unit. The rider has 4 power options and the is a walk start button which propell sthe bike to 4 mph without the pedals being turned.
The cycling experience is enhanced with 700cm wheels and Schwalbe “Energiser” puncture resistant tyres. the lock out front forks give the rider the option of having none of the energy transferred into forks when riding hard up a hill. The rear wheel is fitted with a lock which shares the same key as the battery pack.
